Khabarovsk uncovers 168 flaws in heating networks after rigorous tests
Hydraulic testing of Khabarovsk’s heating networks has finished, revealing 168 areas needing repair. The checks, overseen by city officials, involved pressurising the system beyond normal levels to spot weaknesses. Some buildings may now face short-term water circulation issues due to localised damage. The city’s heating plant circuits underwent rigorous testing, with networks filled and pressurised above standard operating conditions. Denis Yelkin, First Deputy Mayor for Municipal Services, led the process. The inspections uncovered 168 faulty components and damaged sections requiring attention.
A detailed repair plan has since been approved to fix the identified problems. While the city administration is releasing official updates, responsibility for in-building or in-apartment network faults lies with property management companies and homeowners.
Residents have been urged to stay informed through their property managers about possible service disruptions during repairs. The completed tests ensure that heating infrastructure weaknesses are now known and scheduled for repair. Official updates will continue as work progresses. For now, some households may experience temporary water circulation issues until fixes are implemented.
