Kids Lead the Way in Sustainability at Burg Brüggen's New Exhibition
Mayor Marcel Johnen welcomed attendees to the Museum of Man and Hunting, marking the official opening of the exhibition. During the visit, guests gained insight into the diverse projects of the Naturpark-Kitas—nursery schools focused on nature and education for sustainable development. The exhibition highlights how even kindergarten-aged children engage deeply with environmental issues, developing creative and surprisingly thoughtful perspectives.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Johnen emphasized the importance of early environmental education: "These are the thoughts, ideas, and perspectives of children exploring our environment and our future." The exhibition vividly demonstrates that children, with their unique view of the world, can provide valuable inspiration—and that change often begins on a small scale.
Mayor Johnen expressed his gratitude to all participants for their dedicated and imaginative contributions, as well as to the children and educators for their commitment to bringing the projects to life. The exhibition will remain on display at Burg Brüggen until May 7, inviting visitors to discover the ideas and work of the younger generation and draw inspiration from their vision of sustainability.
