Krasnodar's Komandorskaya Street to undergo major reconstruction by September
A major overhaul of Komandorskaya Street in Krasnodar is set to begin on May 15. The project, led by INSITI Development, will fully replace the road surface and base along a 750-metre stretch. Work is expected to finish by the end of September, with traffic adjustments planned in phases. The repairs will cover the section from K. Rossinsky Street to the intersection with Admiral Pustoshkin Street. Crews will also fix potholes, clear storm drains, repair sidewalks and curbs, and repaint road markings at pedestrian crossings.
The project will unfold in three stages, each with partial traffic restrictions. In the first phase, work will focus on the area between K. Rossinsky Street and Admiral Serebryakov Street. Traffic will be diverted through a nearby parking area, with a turnaround point at Admiralteysky Boulevard. The second phase shifts to the stretch from Admiral Serebryakov Street to Admiralteysky Boulevard. Drivers will again use the parking area for rerouting. The final phase will proceed without traffic limitations.
The overhaul aims to improve road conditions along a key route in Krasnodar. Once completed, the street will have a new surface, updated markings, and repaired sidewalks. The project is scheduled for completion by late September.
