Krasnodar's Leningradsky district undergoes major 24-month road overhaul
A major road renovation project is underway in Krasnodar's Leningradsky district. The works on the Chelbas–Krylovskaya–Leningradskaya road will take 24 months, with completion expected by mid-2027. Officials say the upgrades will significantly improve safety and travel conditions for residents and visitors alike.
The project focuses on a 6-kilometre stretch, from the 6th to the 12th kilometre of the road. Crews have already fixed subsidence issues and milled the old pavement. Currently, 57% of the new levelling base has been laid.
Funded under the national *Infrastructure for Life* initiative, the repairs have received over 67 million rubles. Yuri Savenko, first deputy minister of transport and road infrastructure for Krasnodar Krai, highlighted that the upgrades will bring the district's transport network up to modern standards. Construction began in early 2025, following the contract award. The full scope of work is set to finish by mid-2027, as outlined in the official tender documents.
Once complete, the renovated road will enhance transport accessibility in Leningradsky. The improvements will align with current safety and comfort requirements. The project forms part of broader efforts to modernise regional infrastructure across Krasnodar Krai.
