Krasnoyarsk launches 226M-ruble bridge overhaul ahead of 2026 deadline
Krasnoyarsk has announced a major overhaul of several key bridges and overpasses in 2026. The city's Urban Development and Infrastructure Board (UDIB) has launched a tender for the repairs, funded by the municipal budget. Work must finish before the New Year, with a strict deadline of December 19, 2026.
The project includes repairs to Overpasses No. 1 and 2 on Pogranichnikov Street near the TETs-3 power plant, as well as the Oktyabrsky Bridge and the 'Tri Semerki' (777) Bridge near Korkino. Additional 'bridge structures' will also undergo maintenance. The initial contract price is set at 226.29 million rubles.
Before repairs begin, all bridges will be inspected. The Korkino Bridge will restrict heavy freight traffic from February 10 to July 1 to allow for preliminary surveys. Contractors must also develop traffic management plans to minimise disruption during construction. The scope of work covers replacing road surfaces, restoring expansion joints, and repainting markings. Despite winter conditions, repairs will continue in temperatures as low as -10°C using specialised cold-asphalt mixtures.
The tender outlines a clear timeline, with all work due for completion by late December 2026. Contractors will need to balance progress with traffic management while working through cold weather. The city aims to ensure the bridges remain safe and functional for years to come.
