Krasnoyarsk Region launches seamless train-and-bus link to Uzhur

A new integrated transport service is set to launch in Krasnoyarsk Region. It will connect Krasnoyarsk and Uzhur more efficiently. Governor Mikhail Kotyukov ordered the initiative after visiting Uzhur District. The solution combines the Western Express commuter train with a shuttle bus. KrasPrigorod JSC and the Regional Passenger Transport Company will run the service.

The Western Express departs Krasnoyarsk at 7:32 AM and reaches Krasnaya Sopka at 12:33 PM. On the return trip, it leaves Krasnaya Sopka at 12:43 PM and arrives back in Krasnoyarsk at 5:52 PM.

The shuttle bus will link Uzhur to Krasnaya Sopka, timed to meet the train. It departs Uzhur at 11:05 AM and arrives at Krasnaya Sopka at 12:20 PM. The return bus leaves at 12:50 PM and reaches Uzhur at 2:01 PM. Passengers will have a 10-minute transfer window between the train and bus.

Key stops along the route include the Dvizheniye LLC ticket office in Uzhur and the village of Krutoyar. Previously, a diesel commuter train served routes to Dubinino and Kiya-Shaltyr, but it was cancelled in November last year due to low demand.

Artem Chernykh, First Deputy Minister of Transport of Krasnoyarsk Region, announced the new service. The new service aims to improve travel between Krasnoyarsk and Uzhur. It replaces the discontinued diesel train with a coordinated train-and-bus system. The schedule ensures smooth transfers for passengers.
