Krasnoyarsk Overpass and Transport Interchange Reconstruction Underway Near Solontsy

Reconstruction work on a major transport interchange and overpass along Krasnoyarsk's bypass road near the village of Solontsy continues apace. The contractor, NBS-Sibir LLC, began operations in March as part of the Infrastructure for Life national project, timed to coincide with the city's preparations for its 400th anniversary.

Since April 13, traffic patterns in the area have changed, with vehicles now diverted onto a temporary bypass route. The adjustment clears the way for construction of an underground pedestrian crossing and a culvert. Currently, heavy machinery is grading the roadbed and preparing the foundation for the new passage.

The project scope includes widening the overpass across Kotelnikov Prospect, adding acceleration and deceleration lanes, reinforcing the roadbase, and laying fresh asphalt.

Additional upgrades under the reconstruction plan feature improved drainage systems, street lighting, and pedestrian sidewalks, as well as the installation of safety barriers—including along the central divider. The project also includes the underground pedestrian crossing and a dedicated walkway designed to provide safe, convenient access from the Noveland residential complex to Solontsy.
