Lebedevo and Zykovka get major road upgrades in Garinsky District
Road improvements are underway in Lebedevo and Zykovka as part of a wider infrastructure push. The work falls under a municipal program aimed at upgrading transport links across Garinsky District. Officials say the changes will bring long-term benefits to local residents and businesses. The current construction season has seen major roadworks in two villages—Lebedevo and Zykovka. These upgrades form part of the district’s five-year plan, titled Development and Preservation of the Road Network in Garinsky Municipal District for 2024–2029. Between 2024 and 2025 alone, 7.5 kilometres of municipal roads received capital repairs.
A new road in Zykovka, started in 2026, now ensures year-round access to the district centre. The project in Lebedevo is also nearing completion this year. Both schemes aim to cut travel times, reduce vehicle damage, and improve safety for drivers and pedestrians. Local authorities highlight the broader impact of the work. Better roads mean easier access to essential services, stronger connections for remote communities, and a boost for the local economy.
The completed upgrades will provide smoother, safer journeys for residents and businesses alike. With the Lebedevo section set to finish this year, the district’s transport network is becoming more reliable. The program continues to roll out further improvements under its 2029 timeline.
