Madrid updates bus routes 57 and 69 to ease rush-hour delays

Bus routes No. 57 and No. 69 will see new timetables from May 12. The Center for Road Traffic Management (CRTM) has announced the changes after receiving feedback from passengers about long waits during peak hours. The updated schedules aim to fix gaps in morning services that caused delays for commuters. Previously, buses on both routes ran at inconsistent intervals, leading to overcrowding and frustration.

The adjustments will now stagger departures to spread out passenger loads more evenly. The main focus is on synchronising weekday rush-hour times between the two lines. This should reduce waiting times and improve overall efficiency.

The revised timetables take effect on May 12. Passengers can expect more reliable morning services, with fewer delays during busy periods. The CRTM has stated that the changes directly address complaints about uneven bus frequencies.
