Metrobús launches direct airport route to Mexico City's AICM for 30 pesos

Mexico City’s Metrobús is introducing a new direct service to Mexico City International Airport (AICM). The special route will offer a convenient and affordable connection for travellers. It follows the same fare structure as the existing Quetzalcóatl Route, priced at 30 pesos per trip. The service will start at Terminal 1 of AICM, then proceed to Terminal 2 before heading directly to Palacio de los Deportes. No intermediate stops will be made along the way. Passengers can transfer to the Estadio Ciudad de México using the Trolebús Ride service if needed.

Buses will operate at regular intervals, with departures approximately every 15 minutes. Trained staff will be on hand to assist passengers during boarding and alighting. Special signage will mark the designated stops for clarity.

Payment options for the route include the Integrated Mobility Card (MI), credit or debit cards, smartphones, and NFC-enabled smartwatches. Authorities advise travellers to purchase the MI card at AICM terminals and load at least 380 pesos. This covers the Metrobús fare of 30 pesos and the 350-peso cost of the connecting Trolebús Ride service. The new Metrobús route provides a direct and cost-effective link between the airport and key city locations. It aims to simplify travel for passengers arriving or departing from AICM. The service integrates with existing transport options, offering a seamless journey across Mexico City.
