Work has begun on Mexibús Line 5 in Tlalnepantla, Mexico State. The new route will stretch through Tequexquinahuac and link to Cuautitlán Izcalli along Gustavo Baz Avenue. Officials expect completion by late 2027. The project will include 29 stations, aiming to improve transport links across the region. However, construction is likely to cause temporary traffic delays in nearby areas.
Local residents have shared mixed views on the development. Amairani Vázquez, a resident, hopes the line will make public transport safer. Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Pedraza believes it will particularly help those who rely on buses instead of private cars.
Once finished, Mexibús Line 5 will offer a direct connection between Tlalnepantla and Cuautitlán Izcalli. The system is set to provide faster and more reliable travel options for thousands of daily commuters.
