Moscow adds 67 new buses to cut delays and ease commuter travel

Moscow is set to boost its bus network with more vehicles on key routes. The changes will take effect from April 15, aiming to cut waiting times and ease travel for commuters. A total of 67 new buses will join the fleet across several busy lines. The expansion will see some of the city’s busiest routes gain extra capacity. Routes No. 67, No. 74, and No. 82 will each grow from 10 to 15 buses. Route No. 63 will now operate 22 instead of 19, while Route No. 76 will increase from 5 to 8 buses.

Express services will also benefit from the upgrade. Routes No. 506, No. 507, and No. 508 will expand from 8 to 10 buses each. Meanwhile, Routes No. 501, No. 502, No. 503, and No. 505 will each run 12 buses instead of 10. Route No. 83 will see a smaller but still significant rise, going from 6 to 8 buses.

The additional vehicles are expected to reduce overcrowding and shorten delays at stops. Passengers on these routes should experience quicker and more reliable journeys. With 67 new buses in service, the city aims to improve daily travel for thousands. The changes will cover both regular and express routes, ensuring better coverage across Moscow. Officials have confirmed the expanded timetables will begin on April 15.
