Nashik industries demand urgent road repairs to boost economic growth

A delegation from the Nashik Industries and Manufacturers Association (NIMA) recently met with NMRDA Commissioner Jalaj Sharma to address worsening road conditions in key industrial zones. Led by NIMA President Ashish Nahar, the group highlighted how damaged roads are disrupting goods transport and hampering industrial growth.

The meeting focused on urgent repairs for roads in Shinde-Palse, Sinnar Industrial Area, and Brahmanwade Industrial Area. NIMA submitted a formal memorandum outlining the need for immediate resurfacing and structural reinforcement across Nashik's industrial estates.

NIMA also proposed long-term solutions, including road widening and drainage upgrades to prevent monsoon waterlogging. Their demands extended to better safety measures, such as clear road markings and directional signboards. In response, NMRDA Commissioner Jalaj Sharma pledged full support for joint inspections and committed to strengthening all critical roads. NIMA office-bearers assured cooperation for follow-up assessments and discussions. Both sides agreed on the necessity of prompt action to avoid further delays in industrial operations.

The planned road improvements aim to ease transport bottlenecks and enhance industrial productivity. Stronger infrastructure is expected to support Nashik's economic development by reducing logistical hurdles. NMRDA has now taken responsibility for implementing the necessary upgrades in coordination with NIMA.
