Naucalpan launches paid parking in Blue Zone this June

Naucalpan, Mexico, is preparing to roll out a new paid parking system. Workers from NauPark have started marking spaces in the Zona Azul (Blue Zone), where the first phase will launch. The scheme will later expand to other busy areas across the city. The installation of parking meters in the Blue Zone is set to begin in late June. Once complete, the paid system will go live shortly afterwards. Residents will have exclusive spots marked in blue, though they can use other available spaces if these fill up.

After the Blue Zone, the programme will move to Ciudad Satélite. Other areas earmarked for future phases include El Mirador, downtown Naucalpan, the Alce Blanco industrial zone, Satélite Shopping Center, Lomas de Tecamachalco, and the Boulevards district.

The new system will start with the Blue Zone before reaching other key locations. Residents will have priority in designated spots, but alternative parking will remain an option. The city expects the changes to help manage congestion in high-demand areas.
