Neheim's sewer upgrades disrupt traffic with full road closures ahead

Major sewer upgrades are underway in Neheim, part of the City of Arnsberg. Work on Friedenstraße began on April 21, with further closures planned for Alter Graben from May 11. The project aims to modernise key underground infrastructure in the area. The first phase of the project started on Friedenstraße, between Möhnestraße and Alter Graben. Crews have focused on repairing the main sewer line, with completion expected this week. Once finished, workers will move on to renewing household connections linked to the upgraded system.

Next, attention shifts to Alter Graben, where the wastewater pipeline will be replaced. From May 11, the street will close entirely between Schobbostraße and Friedenstraße. No vehicles or pedestrians will be allowed through during this period.

Before the road is resurfaced, utility providers must finish their underground work. The City of Arnsberg and Arnsberg Municipal Utilities have assured residents that the project remains on schedule. The upgrades will bring improved sewer infrastructure to the neighbourhood. Authorities have thanked local residents for their cooperation during the disruptions. Further updates will be provided as the work advances.
