Nizhny Novgorod adjusts bus route No. 2 to ease morning delays

Nizhny Novgorod’s bus route No. 2 will run on a new schedule this summer. The changes follow passenger feedback about overlapping services. Officials have adjusted the timetable to improve reliability during weekday mornings. Previously, buses on route No. 2 often arrived at the same time as each other. This caused gaps in service and left passengers waiting longer than expected. The city’s Road Transport Control Center (CRTC) reviewed the issue after receiving complaints.

The updated schedule will now stagger departures to create more even intervals. Another key change is synchronising route No. 2 with route No. 72. This adjustment aims to reduce delays and provide a smoother connection for travellers. The revisions apply only to weekday mornings, when congestion and demand are highest. Authorities have not announced changes for evenings or weekends at this time.

The new timetable responds directly to passenger concerns about inconsistent bus arrivals. By spacing out departures and coordinating with route No. 72, the city expects fewer delays. The adjustments will take effect in the coming summer months.
