Nizhny Novgorod completes first phase of Borsky Bridge road repairs

Authorities in Nizhny Novgorod have finished the first stage of road repairs on the approach to the Borsky Bridge. The work targeted deep ruts on a key stretch between the 6th and 8th kilometres. Fresh asphalt has already been laid across all four lanes in this section. The repair project uses a milling technique to remove damaged layers before resurfacing. This method aims to extend the road’s lifespan and improve its durability. Most milling operations take place at night to reduce disruption for drivers.

Work on the entire approach is set to finish by the end of June. After June 12, further repairs will begin on the Borsky Bridge itself and its connecting roads from Akimov Street. The first phase of resurfacing is now complete. The remaining repairs will address the bridge and additional sections. Officials expect all work to be finished within the next few weeks.
