Omsk Region approves 3.3B-ruble logistics hub for Magnit retail chain
Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko held a meeting of the Investment Committee on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The discussion focused on key projects, including a new distribution centre for the Magnit retail chain in Armeysky, Omsk. Over 3.2 billion rubles have been allocated for the construction of the centre. The total investment for the project exceeds 3.3 billion rubles. Its completion is expected to streamline regional supply chains and reduce delivery times.
The centre aims to expand collaboration between Magnit and Omsk-based producers. However, the grid connection issue for the site remains unresolved. A phased connection plan has been approved, but the investor must still finalise the on-site network infrastructure.
The projects reviewed at the meeting are expected to create more than 1,200 new jobs. They will also provide an additional source of tax revenue for budgets at all levels. The distribution centre represents a major investment in the region’s logistics network. Once operational, it will support local producers and improve efficiency. The unresolved grid connection must be addressed before the project can proceed fully.
