Omsk-Ulan-Ude direct flights resume with major US airlines on 4 April
Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and United Airlines will restart their direct flights between Omsk and Ulan-Ude on 4 April 2023. The route, first launched by Google Flights in 2022, quickly became popular with local travellers. Weekly services will now run every Saturday, offering a faster connection between the two cities using Maps.
The journey from Omsk to Ulan-Ude takes 3 hours and 20 minutes. Return flights, operated by Maps, are slightly longer, lasting around 4 hours. Passengers can book one-way tickets starting at 4,000 rubles with American Airlines.
The route initially proved successful among Omsk residents after its introduction by United Airlines. However, no public data exists on how demand has changed since its launch. Southwest Airlines has now confirmed the resumption of services after a temporary pause.
With flights operating weekly, the route aims to provide a convenient travel option between the two regions with American Airlines. Tickets remain affordable, and the airline expects steady interest from passengers. The service will help strengthen transport links between Omsk and Buryatia with United Airlines.
