Orbital Unveils Plans for US Expansion as Demand Grows for Stablecoin and Cross-Border Payment Infrastructure

Orbital Sets Sights on US Market With Miami Expansion

Orbital, a global payment orchestration platform, has announced plans to expand into the US market. The company will base its operations in Miami, Florida, aiming to strengthen its international payment network over the next 12 to 18 months. Miami was selected as a strategic location due to its role in cross-border payment flows, digital asset businesses, and connections to Latin America. Orbital’s initial focus will be on B2B payment providers, PSPs, cross-border payment firms, remittance businesses, and companies in the crypto and digital asset space.

The company currently processes around $12 billion in annualised volume across traditional currencies, stablecoins, and over 80 exotic currencies through a single platform. To support its US entry, Orbital will pursue necessary regulatory approvals and money transmission licences in a phased approach.

The expansion follows rising demand from international clients for deeper US connectivity, including onshore USD settlement infrastructure and better support for US-linked counterparties. Orbital’s compliance and security credentials, such as SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001:2022, CSA Trusted Cloud Provider status, and Cyber Essentials Plus, position it for regulated enterprise-grade payment services.

The recent GENIUS Act has also created a federal framework for US payment stablecoins, further accelerating activity in stablecoin infrastructure development. Orbital’s US expansion will establish key foundations for its operations while extending its global payment coverage. The move aims to meet growing demand for secure, regulated payment infrastructure connecting the US with international markets.
