Pleo Launches AI Agents to Revolutionize Spend Management for Finance Teams

Pleo, Europe’s first and most trusted strategic finance platform, has unveiled a suite of AI agents for routine spend management. The tools are built to handle tasks autonomously, freeing up finance leaders for higher-level decisions. They will enter beta testing in July, marking a step towards more efficient financial processes. Nearly half of UK companies report that their financial workflows are slow and cumbersome. At the same time, 78% of finance professionals believe AI will play a key role in the future of the sector. Yet 68% lack the skills, training, or confidence to use it effectively.

Pleo’s new agents include Policy Agent, Pleo MCP-Next, AP Agent, Treasury Agent, and Accounting Agent. They are designed to be competent rather than charming, ensuring trust at every level. These agents will operate within the Pleo app and web experience, with the option to connect to other AI tools via Pleo’s MCP server.

The goal is to give finance teams more control over their data while leveraging advanced AI. By automating routine work, the agents aim to save time and improve accuracy. The beta launch begins in July. Finance teams will soon have access to tools that streamline tasks and reduce manual effort. This could help close the gap between the demand for AI and the current lack of skills in the industry.
