Primorsky Krai expands trains to fight summer overcrowding by May

Primorsky Krai is expanding its busiest commuter trains to ease overcrowding this summer. The region has also kept a year-round 'summer' schedule for the second year running. Changes will roll out in stages from April to May. Since April 11, several routes have already added extra carriages. Trains No. 6301 and 6302 now run with six cars and extend to Sibertsevo Station. Other services, including No. 6305 and No. 7304, currently operate with six cars but will expand to eight by May 1.

From April 25, Train No. 6346 will run with six cars on weekdays and eight on weekends and holidays. Train No. 6357 will also increase to eight cars on weekends and holidays from the same date. Later, on May 1, Train No. 6365/6366 will extend to eight cars on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Train No. 6304 already operates with eight cars, providing additional capacity on one of the region’s busiest lines.

The expansions aim to reduce congestion on Primorye’s most crowded routes. More carriages will be added in phases, with all changes completed by early May. The region continues its year-round summer timetable to meet growing demand.
