Rail disruptions hit Wolfsburg and Braunschweig due to maintenance work
Rail passengers in the Wolfsburg and Braunschweig regions will face disruptions this week. Maintenance work by enno will cause cancellations and timetable changes on several routes. Replacement buses will operate on some affected services. Disruptions began on June 13-14 with partial cancellations on the RE30 route between Wolfsburg Hauptbahnhof and Fallersleben. A replacement bus ran at 23:57 instead of the usual 00:14 departure from Wolfsburg. On June 15-16, the RE30 service from Wolfsburg to Hannover departed earlier at 23:05 instead of 23:14, affecting all subsequent stations.
Further changes will occur from June 18-20 due to maintenance on the RE50 route between Hildesheim Hauptbahnhof and Wolfsburg Hauptbahnhof. Replacement buses will serve passengers during this period. The RE50 service will also see adjustments and cancellations on June 13-14 and 15-16.
The most significant disruption is scheduled for June 30-July 1. Services between Wolfsburg Hauptbahnhof and Braunschweig Hauptbahnhof will have partial cancellations and replacement buses. Passengers are urged to check the enno website for the latest updates. The changes will affect travel plans across multiple dates and routes. Replacement services will help minimise inconvenience during the maintenance period.
