Rebel Wolves' The Blood of Dawnwalker fuses vampire lore with a 30-day race against time

Rebel Wolves, a new studio formed by ex-CD Projekt Red developers, has unveiled its first game. The Blood of Dawnwalker is a single-player RPG set in 14th-century Europe, where players take on the role of a man cursed to become a vampire at night. The title is scheduled for release in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Players will step into the shoes of Coen, a protagonist bound by a 30-day time limit to complete his mission and rescue his family. By night, he transforms into a vampire, adding urgency to his quest. While the main story operates under this countdown, side quests and free games remain unrestricted by time.

The game's narrative teaser promises a world filled with discovery and danger. Certain key story choices will directly affect the remaining days, shaping how the climax unfolds. Even after the main plot concludes, the game world will stay open for further exploration.

Rebel Wolves was founded by veterans of The Witcher 3, including Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz as creative director and Konrad Tomaszkiewicz as director and CEO. Their experience in crafting deep, immersive RPGs has set high expectations for this crazy vampire-themed adventure.

The Blood of Dawnwalker marks the debut of Rebel Wolves, blending time-sensitive storytelling with an open-ended world. The game's 2026 launch will bring its dark medieval setting to PC and next-gen consoles. Players can expect a mix of urgency in the main quest and freedom in exploration long after the story ends.
