Rosvodokanal's 'ECOwave RVC 3.0' transforms river cleanup into a sustainability movement

Rosvodokanal group has launched its first-ever 'ECOwave RVC 3.0' environmental campaign in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The initiative brought together 50 employees, volunteers, and partners to clean up a 1.5-kilometre stretch of the Silinka River. Organisers combined waste collection with education on responsible consumption and sustainability. The event kicked off as part of the broader ECOwave RVC project, which began in 2024 in Orenburg. Since then, it has expanded to all cities where Rosvodokanal operates. Participants focused on clearing plastic bottles, glass, metal cans, paper, packaging, and even discarded rubber tyres from the riverbanks. All collected waste was carefully sorted for recycling.

A competitive twist was added to encourage involvement: a hidden 'trash artifact' awaited discovery, with the finder awarded a personal prize. Alexander Shein, CEO of RVC-Komsomolsk, highlighted the campaign’s dual purpose—environmental cleanup and fostering eco-conscious behaviour through friendly competition.

Tatiana Bondarenko, the company’s HR director, stressed Rosvodokanal’s commitment to clean water and sustainability. The campaign also aligned with the objectives of Dobro.rf, Russia’s social development ecosystem, reinforcing its community impact. The cleanup covered a significant section of the Silinka River, removing various types of waste for recycling. By blending practical action with education, the campaign aimed to leave a lasting effect on local environmental habits. Future editions are expected to build on this model in other Rosvodokanal locations.
