Russia Launches InvestRussia to Fast-Track Billion-Dollar Economic Projects

Murat Kerefov, Deputy Chairman of VEB.RF, announced that InvestRussia's projects vary in scale, geography, and sector. Each initiative creates new opportunities for regional and urban economic growth while improving the quality of life for ordinary families.

"These include the construction of a new urea production plant in Volgograd, the development of mineral deposits and processing facilities in Bashkortostan and Chelyabinsk Oblast, and the expansion of year-round vegetable production in Omsk Oblast," Kerefov specified.

He emphasized that InvestRussia's mission is to provide a free, one-stop client journey at every stage, offering comprehensive support and leveraging all available government incentives—both at the federal level and through active collaboration with local and regional authorities.

The unified investment support ecosystem, led by VEB.RF in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development, was established under a directive from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Its launch was announced in February 2026. Within this framework, VEB.RF oversees major projects with investments starting at 10 billion rubles, though certain sectors may have different thresholds.
