Russian Railways rolls out 24 new self-service ticket terminals in Primorsky Krai

Russian Railways has expanded its self-service ticket system in Primorsky Krai with 24 new terminals. These machines are now operational at major stations, including those along the Vladivostok–Artem–Nadezhdinskaya route. The rollout aims to speed up ticket purchases and improve passenger convenience. The first batch of 24 terminals was installed at key locations, such as Vladivostok's city and suburban stations, as well as at Smolyaninovo, Partizansk, Ussuriysk, and Spassk-Dalny. Each machine features a large touchscreen and accepts all payment cards, transit passes, and fast payment systems. Their upgraded technical specs have cut down processing times for travellers.

By early 2026, 28 of the planned 32 terminals were in place across Primorsky Krai. The remaining four are set to arrive by the end of summer. The terminals rely on multiple internet connections to ensure stable service during transactions. All hardware and software are Russian-made, aligning with domestic production goals.

Future expansions may extend to cities in Khabarovsk Krai and Sakhalin Oblast, including Khabarovsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, as part of Russian Railways' broader Far East upgrade plan. The new terminals provide faster, more reliable ticketing options for passengers in Primorsky Krai. With 32 machines expected by summer, the system will cover major routes and stations in the region. Further expansions could bring similar technology to neighbouring areas in the Far East.
