Schützenstraße demolition triggers traffic and parking changes until March 31
Demolition work at 13/15 Schützenstraße will bring temporary traffic changes from Monday, February 23. The adjustments will affect nearby roads and parking, with restrictions lasting until at least Tuesday, March 31. Drivers and pedestrians in the area should prepare for altered access routes during this period.
Starting February 23, Austraße will become one-way only and lose direct access from some directions. The road will remain open solely from Spittelstraße for the entire duration of the demolition. This change aims to keep traffic flowing smoothly while work continues.
Part of the parking lot next to the demolition site will also close. The restriction will remain in place until March 31 at the latest. No other parking or demolition-related closures have been reported in the area.
Separate from this project, unrelated works are planned elsewhere. Telecommunications excavations will take place on Schützenstraße in Weisenbach from September 24 to October 24, 2025. Sewer shaft maintenance is also scheduled in Hilden on a different section of Schützenstraße.
The temporary traffic measures will stay active until the end of March. Austraße's one-way system and the partial parking closure will remain until then. Officials have not announced any further delays or extensions to the current schedule.
