Singapore Airlines boosts summer flights to London and Melbourne

Singapore Airlines is expanding its summer schedule with more flights to London and Melbourne. The changes include extra services to London Gatwick and a switch to larger aircraft on the Melbourne route.

However, some flights to Dubai have been cancelled until the end of April.

From March 29, the airline will use the Airbus A380 on its Singapore-Melbourne route. This replaces the Boeing 777-300ER previously operating on the same path. The A380 service will continue until October 24.

Seven additional weekly flights between Singapore and London Gatwick will also begin on March 31. These extra services will run until August 29. At the same time, a number of flights between Singapore and Dubai have been cancelled. The cancellations affect travel up to April 30.

The expanded schedule means more capacity for travellers heading to London and Melbourne. The Airbus A380 will offer additional seats on the Melbourne route, while the extra Gatwick flights provide more options for UK-bound passengers. The Dubai cancellations, however, reduce short-term connectivity to the Middle East.
