Autobus Services Disrupted in Kreis Ostholstein - Snow halts most buses in Schleswig-Holstein—except FlixBus X85

Heavy snowfall has disrupted bus services across parts of Schleswig-Holstein. Many routes in the Ostholstein district were suspended, leaving passengers stranded. However, the key X85 line between Lübeck and Fehmarn, operated by flixbus, remains operational.

Autokraft, the bus operator near Lübeck, halted services in Ostholstein due to the severe weather. The decision came as snow made roads unsafe for travel. Most routes in the district ground to a standstill, forcing commuters to find alternative transport.

In contrast, the flixbus X85 line continued running despite the conditions. This route connects Lübeck to Fehmarn and was deemed safe enough to maintain service. Meanwhile, Autokraft announced that suspended services in the Segeberg district should restart by noon.

The snow has caused widespread delays, but the flixbus X85 remains a reliable option for travellers. Services in Segeberg are set to return later today, while Ostholstein’s full recovery depends on improving weather. Passengers are advised to check updates before travelling.
