Sochi and Krasnodar flights reveal shifting booking trends in 2024

Airfares to popular Russian destinations Sochi and Krasnodar show mixed trends this year. While economy-class prices remain steady, booking habits and business-class costs have shifted. Economy-class tickets for both routes now cost between 16,000 and 17,000 rubles one way. Sochi fares have dropped by 2% compared to last year, while Krasnodar’s prices remain unchanged. Business-class tickets to Sochi average 92,000 rubles, up 1% from 2023. For Krasnodar, the same class costs 73,000 rubles.

Booking patterns differ between the two cities. Over half of Sochi tickets (52%) are purchased at least three weeks in advance. In contrast, 44% of Krasnodar bookings happen less than a week before departure. Only 22% of Krasnodar tickets are bought 21 days or more ahead, while 23% of Sochi travellers book within a week of flying. The data reveals a preference for last-minute bookings to Krasnodar, while Sochi attracts more early planners. Business-class fares to Sochi have risen slightly, but economy prices stay consistent across both destinations.
