Sochi launches major road repairs in Kudepsta with traffic delays expected
Road restoration work has started in Sochi’s Kudepsta microdistrict. Crews are removing old asphalt and preparing to lay a new top layer of stone-mastic asphalt concrete. Over 3.1 kilometres of roadway will be resurfaced in the area. Traffic restrictions are currently in place on the damaged bridge over the Kudepsta River. This bridge is part of a key transport artery linking Nikolayevka, Bestuzhevka, Verino, and Chaisovkhoz microdistricts with Adler’s city centre and the federal highway.
Elsewhere in the district, Chaynaya Street will have its pavement replaced on two heavily damaged sections. Verinskaya Street will be widened, with passing bays added to improve traffic flow. Kuznechnaya Street is serving as a detour route due to ongoing roadwork.
Additional repairs are planned for other areas. Penzenskaya, Petrozavodskaya, and Gastello Streets will receive pothole repairs and refreshed road markings. The work will improve road conditions across several key routes. Repairs on the transport artery will affect travel between multiple microdistricts and Adler. Drivers are advised to follow detour signs and expect delays during construction.
