Sochi's water crisis prompts emergency pipeline upgrade for residents

Residents in Sochi’s central district have faced ongoing water supply problems in recent days. Homes along Vostochnaya and Vinogradnaya streets reported a complete loss of water, prompting local authorities to take action. The issue first came to light after a preliminary inspection uncovered low water pressure across the area. With households left without running water, officials moved quickly to find a solution.

The chosen fix involves installing an extra pipeline to boost the system’s capacity. The new line will measure 50 mm in diameter and stretch over 70 metres in length. Once in place, it should strengthen the network’s reliability and prevent future shortages. Authorities have stressed that the upgrade will help guarantee a steady water supply for residents. Work is now underway to complete the installation as soon as possible.

The additional pipeline aims to resolve the current outages and improve long-term water delivery. Residents on the affected streets can expect a more stable service once the project is finished.
