Sverdlovsk Region Commuter Rail Overhauls Routes on Regional Transport Ministry's Orders

Sverdlovsk Region Overhauls Train Routes Starting in April

A dozen commuter train routes in the Sverdlovsk region will be altered starting in April, following changes ordered by the regional Ministry of Transport.

Trains running from Yekaterinburg to Boksi and Karpinsk will now terminate in Serov. Service on these lines will also be reduced to Fridays through Sundays and public holidays, rather than operating daily.

The route from Nizhny Tagil to Nizhnyaya Tura will now end in Kushva, while trains from Yekaterinburg to Izumrud and Asbest will only go as far as Bazhenovo station.

The final stop at Nizhnyaya on the Yekaterinburg route via Kamensk-Uralsky has also been removed. Meanwhile, electric trains bound for Druzhinino will now terminate in Revda.

Service between Nizhny Tagil and Kachkanar will be scaled back as well, running only from Friday to Monday and on holidays. However, the Aziatskaya–Nizhny Tagil route will be extended to Kachkanar, with seven additional stops added—including Imenovsky, Chistye Klyuchi, and Chekmen.

Twelve other trains have been cut from the schedule entirely. All changes take effect in April.
