A new 6-kilometer section of the road leading to the Chovsky industrial hub, as well as a reconstructed 1.7-kilometer stretch of 4th Promyshlennaya Street, have been commissioned in Syktyvkar. The projects were made possible through infrastructure budget loans (IBL) and special treasury credits (STC), whose significance was highlighted by Alexander Lomakin, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing, and Utilities of Russia.
This road section plays a key role in the transport network of Syktyvkar's Ezhvinsky District, providing access to the industrial cluster, connecting to the Kirov–Ukhta highway, and serving as a bypass route. The upgrades represent a higher level of infrastructure accessibility, which will help improve quality of life in the area.
Across Russia's Northwestern Federal District, 56 projects and initiatives have been financed under this scheme. The implementation of infrastructure projects using IBLs, STCs, and treasury infrastructure loans (TIL) supports comprehensive regional development. This includes modernizing essential social, utility, and road infrastructure, as well as boosting construction volumes and attracting additional investment.
"In the Northwestern Federal District, thanks to projects implemented with IBL and STC funding, over 6.8 million square meters of housing have been built, more than 10,000 jobs created, and over 470 billion rubles in private investment attracted. Overall, the district's regions have received approval for infrastructure credit funding for 236 projects and initiatives," reported Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister.
Vasily Kupyzin, Director General of the Territorial Development Fund, noted that work is currently underway on 180 projects and initiatives in the Northwestern Federal District. The Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Utilities oversees the infrastructure credit program, with the Territorial Development Fund playing a key role in its implementation.
