Syktyvkar's Orbita–Tentyukovo highway gets safety and pedestrian upgrades by 2026

Road repairs and pedestrian upgrades are underway along the Orbita–Tentyukovo highway in Syktyvkar Urban District. The 779-metre stretch is part of a larger project to improve local infrastructure. Regional head Rostislav Goldstein is monitoring the work’s progress. The current focus is on the busiest section near the Atlantida residential complex. Crews are paving sidewalks and preparing for further enhancements. The full project includes asphalt-concrete walkways, curb stones, and metal pedestrian barriers. Bus stop pavilions and drainage systems will also be installed.

Tree planting and lawn seeding are planned to complete the area’s improvements. Beyond this section, upgrades will extend to Tentyukovskaya Street, Internationalnaya Street, and the access road to the Dyrnos garden plots. DorInvest LLC, the contractor, is carrying out the work under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Komi. The entire project is set for completion by summer 2026. That year, Syktyvkar will also see repairs on over 4 kilometres of roads as part of the national Infrastructure for Life programme. These efforts align with the United Russia party’s People’s Program in the region.

The upgrades aim to improve safety and accessibility along key routes. Residents will see new sidewalks, bus stops, and greenery once the work finishes. The project remains on track for its 2026 deadline.
