Tata Power's EV charging network now spans 700+ Indian cities and towns
Tata Power has expanded its electric vehicle charging network across India. The company now operates over 5,500 public charging points in more than 700 cities and towns. Its infrastructure has already supported millions of green miles and reduced carbon emissions significantly. In Maharashtra alone, Tata Power has set up over 2,400 charging points. Mumbai and Navi Mumbai account for more than 1,800 of these, reinforcing their status as key EV markets. The growing availability of chargers has increased consumer confidence in electric mobility.
The company’s nationwide network has enabled over 414 million green miles. It has also facilitated more than 7.5 lakh charging sessions, helping avoid nearly 50,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Additionally, Tata Power has installed over 2.3 lakh home chargers through partnerships with leading car manufacturers.
Recent expansions include new stations in Pune, the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway, and Kolkata. These additions aim to further accelerate EV adoption, particularly in high-traffic regions like the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. India’s EV sales surpassed 2.55 million units in FY2026, with all segments showing strong growth. Reliable charging infrastructure remains a major driver of this shift. Tata Power’s expanding network is expected to play a key role in supporting cleaner transportation nationwide.
