TRK LLC, a company based in the Free Port of Vladivostok, has launched two new crab-fishing vessels in the Sea of Okhotsk. Established in 2019, the firm secured significant investment to build the specialised ships, which are now fully operational. TRK was founded in 2019 with Antei Asset Management LLC holding 50% of its capital and Aquilon LLC owning 49%. Under an agreement with the Far East Development Corporation (FEDC), the project attracted 5.9 billion rubles in funding.
The company constructed two vessels using the Damen CSA 5712LS design, both certified with the Ice2 ice class. These ships, named Natalie Bay and Dmitry Konoplyov, are equipped for crab pot fishing. Each can store up to 90 tons of live catch in onboard seawater tanks.
By 2025, TRK reported revenues of 3.5 billion rubles. The vessels have now begun active fishing operations in the Sea of Okhotsk. The launch of the two crabbers marks a key development for TRK’s operations in the Far East. With specialised equipment and strong financial backing, the company is now positioned to expand its crab-fishing capacity in the region.
