TSB Bank and Travelex join forces for cheaper travel money deals

Travelex, New Zealand’s top foreign exchange provider, has teamed up with TSB Bank to offer customers better travel money deals. The new partnership gives TSB account holders access to discounted rates on foreign currency and pre-paid travel cards. Both companies say the agreement will make overseas travel more affordable for regional customers. The collaboration allows TSB customers to buy over 50 currencies in cash or load nine onto a Travelex Money Card (TMC) at reduced rates. Discounts apply to in-store purchases and online orders when customers show a valid TSB card or bank statement. Penny Burgess, TSB’s General Manager of Customer Delivery, called the deal a win for travellers, emphasising the improved value for those heading abroad.

Travelex already operates in key locations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch Airport, and Queenstown Airport. A new branch will also open at New Plymouth House of Travel on 12 May 2026. Asokan Sathurayar, Travelex’s Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, highlighted the partnership’s focus on accessibility and competitive pricing for TSB’s customer base. The referral program is now live, offering TSB customers preferential exchange rates through Travelex’s network. Travel money can be purchased online or at branches in major cities and airports. The deal aims to simplify foreign exchange for TSB account holders while expanding Travelex’s reach in regional areas.
