TTC unveils live subway and LRT tracker with real-time updates

The Toronto Transit Commission has launched a real-time map to track subway and LRT service. It provides live updates on delays, station details, and upcoming departures. The tool is now accessible on the TTC’s official website and livemap.ttc.ca. The new map displays real-time service status, outages, and station information. It also includes alerts for escalator and elevator disruptions. Users can switch between light and dark modes for better visibility.

The TTC is releasing the map in stages to gather customer feedback and refine the tool. A separate, unofficial tracker called TTCmap.ca was created by a University of Toronto student in 2025. This student has not contributed to the TTC’s version and continues to update their own map.

Future updates will add bus and streetcar routes to the tracker. The TTC aims to release this expansion later in the year. The interactive map is currently live and will evolve based on public input. Bus and streetcar tracking is set to follow in a later phase. The TTC expects the final version to improve how customers navigate the system.
