United Airlines unveils massive lounge expansion with premium upgrades in 2024

United Airlines is expanding its airport lounge network with several major openings this year. The airline is also upgrading existing facilities as part of a broader push to enhance its premium services. The carrier will reopen its lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and launch a larger B West lounge in Denver later in 2024. A new lounge is also planned for Terminal 2 at San Francisco (SFO).

In Houston (IAH), United has already opened its second grab-and-go United Club Fly outpost. The airline will also debut its largest-ever Club in the city’s new Terminal B North, spanning 50,000 square feet with space for over 600 guests. Another 40,000-square-foot United Club is set to open at Washington, D.C. (IAD).

Upgrades are underway for Polaris Lounges in Chicago (ORD) and Newark (EWR). Alongside these expansions, United is reviewing membership policies and access rules for its United Club network to align with its growing premium offerings. These developments reflect United’s commitment to improving the travel experience for its customers. The airline is investing heavily in lounge infrastructure to support its goal of becoming the leading premium carrier in the U.S. and beyond.
