Megafon Strengthens Coverage in the Center of Vanyino Work Settlement

Vanino's mobile network gets a major boost with Megafon's new base station

Vanino, a key logistics hub in Russia’s Far East, has received a boost in mobile connectivity. Megafon has activated a new base station in the settlement’s central area, improving service for residents and businesses alike. The upgrade follows earlier expansions to nearby dacha communities and strengthens coverage across the region. The new base station sits in the heart of Vanino, a coastal settlement of around 16,000 people. It operates across multiple frequency bands, ensuring high-speed data and stable voice calls, including VoLTE support. High-traffic zones now benefit from more reliable connections.

Megafon had previously extended 4G coverage to surrounding areas like *Rassvet*, *Voskhod*, and *Sokol*. The latest addition redistributes network traffic, reducing congestion and enhancing service quality in adjacent neighbourhoods. Together, these upgrades create a seamless telecom network for both urban and suburban parts of Vanino. The town plays a vital role in the region’s economy, hosting the largest seaport in Khabarovsk Krai and a major junction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline. Reliable connectivity supports its operations as a logistics and transport centre.

The new base station completes a series of telecom improvements in Vanino. Residents now experience faster data speeds and more stable calls across the settlement. The upgrade also ensures consistent coverage for the town’s critical transport and port activities.
