Vladivostok launches biometric boarding and a new Guangzhou flight route

Vladivostok’s international airport is set to introduce biometric boarding for smoother passenger checks. Meanwhile, S7 Airlines has announced a new direct route from the city to Guangzhou, starting on October 27. The airline already connects Vladivostok with Beijing and Shanghai.

S7 Airlines will operate the Vladivostok–Guangzhou flights twice a week. Each journey is expected to take around 5 hours and 10 minutes. The route aims to meet growing travel demand between Russia’s Far East and southern China.

Guangzhou, China’s fourth-largest city, has a population of nearly 19 million. Analysts predict strong interest in the new service if S7 offers competitive ticket prices. The airline’s existing routes from Vladivostok include direct flights to Beijing and Shanghai. The addition of Guangzhou expands its network in a key economic region.

The new route launches on October 27, providing another link between Vladivostok and major Chinese cities. With biometric boarding also arriving at the airport, passengers can expect faster and more efficient travel procedures. The move reflects increasing air traffic between Russia and China.
