Yakutia's career fair spotlights rail jobs and bold employee benefits

A career guidance event recently took place in Yakutia, bringing together school students, young job seekers, and industry representatives. Organised by the State Employment Committee and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)'s Ministry of Education and Science, the session highlighted opportunities in the region's rail sector. Key speakers included Vladimir Miroshnik, who discussed training programmes and employment prospects at Yakutia Railways (JSC). During the event, Miroshnik delivered a presentation on the company's personnel policies and the importance of targeted training for the rail industry. He stressed that higher education remains essential for all levels of railway specialists. The discussion also covered Yakutia Railways' collective agreement, which now includes a one-million-ruble bonus for employees upon the birth of a child—a benefit introduced in 2026.

Miroshnik further outlined the company's non-state pension programme, where employers co-finance contributions. Yakutia Railways has also earned recognition as the 'Best Employer for Promoting Employment' in the republic. Beyond career talks, the event showcased initiatives like Aldan's subject-specific Olympiad for graduates, offering reserved spots at the Far Eastern University of Communications. Participants ranged from students and young professionals to representatives of major republican enterprises and public sector bodies. The focus remained on aligning education with regional employment needs, particularly in transport and infrastructure.

The event underscored Yakutia Railways' commitment to workforce development through education, financial incentives, and long-term support. With programmes like employer-backed pensions and family bonuses, the company aims to attract and retain skilled workers. Organisers plan to continue such initiatives to strengthen ties between education and industry in the republic.
