Yakutsk Launches Free New Year's Eve Bus to Boost Holiday Safety
Yakutsk will introduce a free temporary bus service for New Year’s Eve. The route, numbered 100N, aims to provide safe and reliable transport during the celebrations. Mayor Yevgeny Grigoryev announced the initiative during a live broadcast on state television and radio. The decision to launch the service was formalised on December 25, 2025. The order outlines plans for uninterrupted transport and improved road safety as residents mark the new year.
The 100N bus will run from 10:00 PM on December 31, 2025, until 6:00 AM on January 1, 2026. It will start at the 'Medtsentr' stop and finish at the 'Airport' stop, covering key areas across the city. Passengers will travel along Sergelyakhskoye Highway, Lermontov Street, and Petrovsky Street before reaching Lenin Avenue. The route continues through Dzerzhinsky Street, Poyarkov Street, and Kirov Street. It also includes October 50th Anniversary Highway, Mozhaisky Street, Gagarin Street, and Bykovsky Street, ensuring broad coverage of central and suburban districts.
The free service will operate exclusively on New Year’s Eve. It is designed to keep public transport running smoothly while reducing risks on the roads. Residents and visitors can use the route to travel safely during the night’s festivities.
