Yakutsk's Lenin Avenue reconstruction finally nears completion after years of delays
Reconstruction of Lenin Avenue in Yakutsk has faced multiple delays. The project began in 2021 with an original completion date of October 31, 2022. Despite setbacks, buses are now set to start running along the avenue from December 1. The project’s timeline shifted after delays in installing bus shelters. This pushed back the planned launch of public transport from November 15 to the end of the month. Construction work is now scheduled to finish by November 30.
Only two heated bus stops remain incomplete. The holdup stems from delayed material deliveries. Officials have confirmed that bus service will begin on December 1, regardless of any further issues. The avenue’s reconstruction is nearing its final stages. Buses will operate along Lenin Avenue starting December 1. The two unfinished shelters are the last remaining tasks before full service begins.
