Yekaterinburg Ring Road expansion brings lane upgrades and traffic changes

Traffic restrictions will be introduced near the intersection with Berezovsky Tract. Between the 19th and 20th kilometers, roadwork will be carried out to improve the earthworks and roadbed.

Under the approved plans, speed limits on certain sections will be reduced to a maximum of 50 km/h (31 mph). Overtaking will be prohibited while the work is underway. The restrictions are expected to take effect on May 5.

As with the southern semicircular route, the section of the Yekaterinburg Ring Road (EKAD) between the 10th and 24th kilometers will be expanded to three lanes in each direction, each measuring 3.75 meters wide.
