Yellow Card and Turnkey team up to streamline stablecoin payments globally
Yellow Card and Turnkey have joined forces to simplify stablecoin payments in emerging markets. Their partnership aims to remove the technical barriers that often make digital currency transactions difficult for businesses and users. Stablecoins provide a dollar-pegged value and enable near-instant cross-border payments. This is a significant improvement over traditional systems, which can take days and cost an average of 6.36% per transaction in emerging markets. They also bypass the delays and fees tied to correspondent banking.
Yellow Card operates in 34 countries, including 20 in Africa, as one of the largest licensed stablecoin infrastructure providers. Its platform allows banks, fintechs, and enterprises to access, store, send, and manage stablecoins in local currencies. Major payment firms like Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal already work with Yellow Card to expand stablecoin adoption.
Turnkey’s Embedded Wallet Kit speeds up the launch of embedded wallets. It includes pre-built authentication and wallet interfaces, making it easier for users to get started. With Turnkey, authentication uses familiar methods such as email or social login, removing the need for users to manage complex crypto wallets, seed phrases, or private keys. The collaboration between Yellow Card and Turnkey provides secure wallet infrastructure for stablecoin payments. Businesses can now offer simpler, faster transactions without the usual technical hurdles. This could make digital currency more accessible in regions where traditional banking is costly and slow.
