A2 Motorway Closure: Helmstedt-Zentrum Junction Shuts for Two Weeks

The Helmstedt-Zentrum junction on the A2 motorway will close for nearly two weeks. The shutdown begins on Monday, June 15, at around 8 a.m. and ends on Friday, June 26, at approximately 3 p.m. The closure affects both directions of the junction. Drivers will not be able to enter or exit at Helmstedt-Zentrum during this period. The work is part of renovation efforts on the nearby L644, also known as Memelstraße.

Motorists are directed to use the Helmstedt-West junction instead. Signposted diversions, marked as U4 and U45, will guide traffic around the closed section. The junction will remain inaccessible for the entire duration of the works. Drivers are urged to plan alternative routes in advance. The diversions aim to minimise disruption during the renovation period.
