Astana's major roadworks to disrupt traffic and bus routes this week

Major roadworks in Astana will disrupt traffic and bus services from May 30 to June 1. Several key intersections will close, and multiple bus routes will face temporary changes. Authorities have urged residents to prepare for delays and adjust their travel plans.

Repairs will begin on Abai Turysnov Street between A52 Street and Shaimerdenov Street on May 30. Traffic on this section will be partially restricted, while two nearby intersections face full closures. From May 31 to June 1, both the Shaimerdenov–Abai Turysnov and Shaimerdenov–Nazhimedenov intersections will be completely shut to vehicles.

Bus services will also see adjustments during the works. City routes No. 9, 13, 27, 55A, 55B, 66, 74, and 82 will operate on temporary schedules or detours. Suburban routes No. 302 and 303 will follow revised paths as well. Temporary road signs and directional markers will guide drivers, passengers, and pedestrians through the affected zones.

The closures and bus changes aim to complete essential road repairs efficiently. Residents should check updated route information before travelling. Authorities expect normal service to resume once the works finish on June 1.
